Vivian Syme, Admissions Coordinator

Vivian Syme is a Grade One through Grade Twelve graduate of Sacramento Waldorf School. After graduating from Pomona College, Vivian immersed herself in the outdoor adventure world, competing in triathlons, bicycle racing, and marathons while working for various sport organizations and manufacturers.

Vivian eventually took a marketing position at Starbucks, where she worked for seven years. While there, Vivian was invited to participate in to participate in the first annual Climb for C.A.R.E. To share this experience with others, Vivian organized a school supply drive for a school in Kenya. She chronicled her delivery of the supplies to the impoverished school, her climb of Mt. Kiliminjaro, and her visit to C.A.R.E. projects in Kenya and Ethiopia. Vivian brings her marketing and community outreach experience as well as her appreciation of Waldorf education to her role as Admissions Coordinator.

Vivian and her husband Jim have two children, both of whom attend Bright Water School. Vivian joined the administrative staff in 2008.
