Nazneen Kateli-D'Souza, Grade One Teacher

Nazneen Kateli-D'Souza was born and raised in Bombay, India. She spent much of her youth discovering a love for dance, movement, and Anthropology. Nazneen completed her Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and History, and then a Master's degree in Ancient Indian Culture from Bombay University. While studying for her Master's, Nazneen was introduced to education and teaching. She received her teaching certificate from Bombay University and taught middle and high school at a girl's school in Bombay. Later, she joined the Akanksha Foundation and taught bilingual education to the street children of Bombay.

As an international student in America, Nazneen was introduced to Waldorf Education. She received her Waldorf Teaching Certificate from Sound Circle Center for Arts and Anthroposophy in Seattle. She joined the faculty of Bright Water School in 2005.
