Jo-Ann Climenhage, Grade Seven Teacher

Born in Toronto, Canada to a family committed to education (both of her parents were teachers), Jo- Ann Climenhage’s abiding interest in helping youth has shaped her career and educational path. Concern for the welfare of children has led her through a broad range of experiences, from educational work with disabled youth to advanced graduate research on homeless adolescents and their families. Mrs. Climenhage has a Ph.D. in Sociology, received her Waldorf Teaching Certificate in May 2005, and joined Bright Water School in Fall 2005. In 2009, she completed her Certificate in Remedial Education at Rudolf Steiner College. She and her husband Richard have two daughters, both of whom attend Bright Water School.
